3Yes, though what jumps to my mind is when I was with a friend and something happened to him. We were leaving a subway station and approached a busy intersection to cross the street. A mother and child were among others waiting; the mother was distracted on a cell phone. The kid steps into the street, right in front of a moving bus. My friend grabbed the kid and pulled him to safety, both of them yelling from the shock of it all. The mother looks up, paying no attention to the bus, and screams "get yo hands off my boy" and starts hitting him. We try explaining what happened, but the woman was crazed and wouldn't listen. Oh well.Have you ever done something, thinking you would get a positive reaction, and it got a totally negative reaction?
4It's a perfectly fine thing to say. Having recently lost a friend, I heard this and variants of it a zillion times. When you're among the bereaved, you understand that there's nothing you can say that will make anything better, but you gotta say something anyway else you seem aloof. "I'm sorry for your loss" says it all.How do you feel about people saying "I'm sorry for your loss" when someone dies?

6Sure, everybody makes mistakes.Would you accept an atheist person as leader of your country?
7No, they're paid what they're worth. A better question (for me) is: why are people such goons that they throw so much money at sports that it's reasonable to pay athletes millions of dollars? Do you think professional athletes are paid too much?
8None of these.
At best, it makes me consider better regulation for animal welfare, but no point makes me consider becoming vegetarian. #1 reason I'll remain an omnivore: vegans. In general, I find vegans to be horribly obnoxious in regards to food, and they set an example that I would never ever want to emulate. Sometimes I wanna just throw them on the grill so they'll be good for something. OK, that's mean, but they are really obnoxious.
To quote Dennis Leary: "murder tastes good."
Which of these statements are important enough reasons to consider becoming a vegetarian?
