Hey, "Zang". I was trying to reach you, sent you an email this morning. (I picked out your oldest, still-active survey to post to you here.) I was telling you by email how I'll be in Vancouver again starting tonight, and I'll be there for more than a week probably (changing out systems). I thought I could finally get you and that studio facility director hooked up. The three of us could meet for drinks, if you'd like - it might ease the "introduction" that way. I left you my cell phone in the email. Give me a call - I'll be arriving around 11:30 tonight, staying at the Metro, downtown. Give a call! | Are you concerned about this recent merger collapse?
Hey there! I tried calling you last night. I was at Mahoney's on Robson, had dinner, a couple of beers then left. I was dead tired. I still managed to get to the facility around seven yesterday morning, in spite of the late hour Thursday, ha. I'm still working at the moment, unfortunately (out of the hotel). The box I shipped didn't make it past customs so I never received my cell phone a/c adapter, but you can call me at the hotel tomorrow, at the Met, room 1605. I'll have met up with Scott by 12:00 noon, so if you want to meet up at that same place again some time tomorrow after that, give me a call... (I can't get into my email domain, otherwise I'd have emailed you, plus with my cell phone dead - ain't got your number!) Gimme a call, we'll set it up. Later! | Are you concerned about this recent merger collapse?
Very strange! Mine too! (Just kidding - I created this one.) Are you by chance an ER station nurse? LVN, RN? By the way - welcome to Survey Central! Here's your orientation package: "SC" = Survey Central • It seems you're finding your way around, but if you need help, either click on the Help icon (top, 2d row, right) or click the Forum icon (top, 2d row, left-ish) • You can be properly welcomed there in the Forum • Of course, click New Survey (top, 2d, left) to create a new one yourself • Click Unqualified to see surveys pending approval (including yours) • You can enter those surveys and vote on their quality to qualify them into active surveys (24 wait as qualifiers deal with them) • Newbees sometimes mistakingly try to vote on their own surveys - that can't be done until they are active • Also, try to fight the temptation of actually answering the surveys while it's in qualification...mostly because it looks kind of new and stupid (haha) Creating Surveys: • Use "Other" for your last option • DON'T USE ALL CAPS! • Dot your tees! Cross your eyes! These are some peeves you'll encounter and be asked to perform for your own surveys edits. They 'peeve' some Creators off as they're waiting for their surveys to be approved - the trick is to not become too "attached" to your questionnaire. Spelling is a biggie. Also, in qualification, some of the members here might forget about the newest members giving it a whirl, so you might find yourself being treated like the rest (sometimes abruptly is all), and right off the bat. Try not to take it to heart. They're mostly very nice people here. Oh, and the latest addition to the few rules here at Survey Central - We're all told we have to enjoy ourselves. Some are fighting it, but we're getting there. | What was the most severe accident or tragedy you can recall having a significant role in handling - or, one in which you largely helped someone else to handle?
One more thing: If you like this site, you can register as a paying member if you haven't already. It's incredibly inexpensive and well worth the money, considering what else is available in comparison to the $20 you could spend for a year's time of this stuff! You'll also lose ALL of those crazy pop-up ads for the year. Bill is the creator, and he is well-liked around here. He participates now and then. If you want to send a note to him, there's another "forum" like area at: Feedback There are other offers for SC membership, even cheaper: Lose the ads | What was the most severe accident or tragedy you can recall having a significant role in handling - or, one in which you largely helped someone else to handle?
No, I'm officially as nobody as one can be here. Bill is really the only one who handles account and charge questions. Take Feedback , he'll be glad to answer ya'. (He usually responds within a day and more commonly within minutes or hours.) Just check back to the area now and then until his comment to you shows. scrub = surgery Should have guessed, but I'm not foolin' anyone lately...the lights aren't even "burnin' bright" these days, and no one but NO ONE is home, ha! | 6 | Well, I'm "sort of" taking the day off tomorrow - refinancing woes (aren't they always?). I'll be there, late, leaving early. My kinda day! So, as I'm corresponding all day to the lenders, I reward (kill) myself by hanging out here all day&night. Shut eye sounds good there, so I think I'll take your ad-- | What was the most severe accident or tragedy you can recall having a significant role in handling - or, one in which you largely helped someone else to handle?
Papers for my taxes, spread carelessly but with a nice even coat. They help catch the occasional cigarette ash. | What's on top of your desk?
Wow - first three to answer are smokers. Yay! I've heard there are others out there like me! | What's on top of your desk?
I'm curious, when you say "write", do you mean in the professional sense? Or are you saying in general? Ok, I'll come out from around this bush I'm beating and just ask - are you a writer, by chance? | What's on top of your desk?
Yes, but are you a writer? I mean, answer the question. Haha! Just kidding. What do you like to write for free? And, what do you figure you will someday get paid to write? (That is, if you don't mind the intrusive questions out of the blue like this.) Myself, I tell people "I'm a writer at-heart, much more than I'm one on paper." I'm still collecting material for that someday-book of mine. Material = Life, experiences. It's a difficult subject (life), but one I think might generate good reading for people someday. | What's on top of your desk?
