| 1 | Any sales or property taxes. Income tax is based on your income so that doesn't bother me as much, but sales tax, this really hurts the poor as when figured out as a percent of your total income they pay a higher percentage that someone who makes more money. Granted folks will say the richer person will buy more thus pay more, but what if he doesn't then he's getting away with paying less percentage of income in tax.
Property tax is probably the one I hate the most. I don't make a lot of money by far but I want to live in a nice house not a dump. So I get penalized for having a nice house and property, I have found it better to leave the outside of your house as dump and only make the inside beautiful. Don't need to let those leaches inside. So until they repeal that tax the outside of my house will have the peeling paint and overgrown yard with dead trees and collapsing old barn and sheds. Not wothr the tax increase to fix them up like I want to. | Which tax do you hate the most? |

| 8 | The one building fire I was in, which happened to be at work where they had regular fire drills, was an eye opener as to how effective fire drills really are. Now maybe having one every month or so was overdone because most people were just sauntering out UNTIL they got the smell of the smoke, then it was panic push and shove to get out, so much for practiced order. Lucky this one was just some burning epoxy glass panels (nasty smell but no serious health risk) and not one of the many things here that produce cyanide gas when they burn.
Since then, they still have fire drills and I still watch people wandering out like taking a stroll. Are they good? Probably, but too many just lead to the cry wolf syndrome and they are not taken seriously. | Besides at school, where else do you think there should be fire drills? |
