Other: drama (or would you call that loser?) | When you went to school what group of people were you in?
Mostly psalms, but a few others. I've recently been told that it is very popular in Russia to be able to quote all of Pushkin's Eugene Onegin ... maybe I'll take that up. | Have you memorized any poems?
We have a small (12x16')library in our house that is already insufficient to hold all of our books. I estimate we have about 2500 books. *** Jody - yeah, we are also pretty well organized. Our books are arranged alphabetically by author. Also, for each author, Nick keeps the books organized chronologically (as written). :) | How large is your book collection?
Nick and I share an e-mail account. We also share a mailbox. I feel free to read anything in either one. Nick has a personal folder he puts some e-mail in, to save it and not clutter up our main space. I don't read stuff in there, but I would feel free to. I guess it's just understood. If I found any evidence that he was cheating through our e-mail, I would assume he wanted me to find it, since he's smart enough to delete anything incriminating.:) Since it is understood how things work between us, I don't feel that there are any negative moral implications. My only concern is for the people sending us the e-mail. If I (or Nick) gets the impression that the sender doesn't realize that our e-mail is common ground between us, then we let the sender know. If the sender did not want one of us reading the e-mail s/he sent, we would respect that. | What are the moral implications of looking at a significant other's email? If you did find anything bad (ie cheating) how would you approach the subject with him/her?
My car's mileage hit 111,111 at 1:11pm last month... The only palindrome I tend to notice is 2112. | Number Patterns
I work in a very small company and we are very flexible about time, so it's hard for me to relate to this. But one thing I've noticed, both here and at the company that my mom owned, is that people will take a situation they don't understand, gripe about it continuously, but never do anything about it. It creates a very negative atmosphere without being productive in the least. (This is not meant as an accusation at the survey writer, since I have no idea how you have handled this.) It's entirely possible that the late coworker may have some arrangement with the management that you don't understand. Or not. But I think that if it's something that disturbs you greatly, you should talk to the coworker or a superior about it, or get over it. | Do you consider it ethical, or fair to your coworkers, to consistently arrive 15 or 20 minutes late of a morning or after lunch?
I am aware that there will most likely be side effects, but I don't worry about them. I can be something of a hypochondriac and if I start thinking too much about side effects, I'm sure I'd experience them. | Do you generally associate doctor prescribed drugs with side effects?
The best teacher I ever had was a biology teacher in college who discussed the five kingdom system currently in use and the arguments for and against it and then told us that as our homework we had to create a better system. It was the first time a teacher challenged me to attempt to think on the level of the "scientific elite." Instead of memorizing and regurgitating, we had to think creatively. It was a fantastic class, full of stuff like that. | Who was the best teacher you had, and why?
I think you occasionally need to be truthful and somewhat hurtful to be kind. But sometimes, even when you aren't intentionally cruel the person takes it harder than you realized they would and you end up being cruel. It might still have been necessary to say or do what you did and hopefully the eventual outcome is still good. | Do you sometimes have to be cruel to be kind?
I am paying off my credit card debt, but have not accrued any additional debt in the last three years. | Do you have any credit card debt?
