| 5 | My Mom used to make me get this boyish hair cur, short on one side, longer on the other (Like a skaters cut) with a RAT TAIL!!! Needless to say, my hair is halfway down my back now! lol My father used to force me to stay in Gymnastics. I liked it but I trained 25 hours a week between the ages of 8-12. I now have arthritis and am Rheumatic and too young an age now. To those who questioned the money aspect of my question: How many times does the collection plate get passed around at church? Or Synagogues asking for "donations" (which in turn is only to elevate your status within the congregation), Jahovah Witnesses asking for money to read their "books", etc... the list goes on. If I had all the money in the world, I'd "buy" up everything other religion and just let people be.. but that's an impossibilty.. you see.. humans, in general, are weak, too weak.. As a whole, we cannot withstand self-guidance. In Taoism, they say... " A smart man governs their country.. A WISE man, allows the people to govern themselves". The more rules that are set, the more are broken.. the more techinlogicaly advanced their inventions gets, the more monturous the result. Have you ever tried threading a needle with a tense mind? Now relax, and thread the needle. Taoism offers the simplicity of living, yet why is it so hard for the magority (including myself) to accomplish this "simple life". This all ties into this question I asked and my strong feelings about it. We need to believe in something.... Religions are created for power... solely.. and inturn, creates ALL the wars and hatred, etc.. Racism is a form of religion, cult, so to speak. If someone's not like you, and your racist, you oestrisize. Same goes for alot of rligious people. And as Kristal_Rose put it beautifuly, religions, bibles, books, cults, all of that.. is not the message. I beleive that all of the above, is entertainment for the weakened mind. However, there is NO WAY I can ever deny a higher being, force, creator, is above me. We chose to call him G-d. That's just a name, not what it's all about. The message is clear.. be good to eachother. Why can't we do that? If you've ever gossiped, stolen, swore at someone with ill intent, you've disregarded respect for one another. There's so much to say... most of you have gone onto the next response. Follow the ten commandments.. you can't go wrong.. it's a guide line... left here, for us. A SIMPLE guideline... | 8 | That a novel Kristal. The fact is the ORGANIZED anything is entertainment for the weak, as humans we have the ability to understand boredom. But ask yourself this.. why spend thousands of dollars on a church or synagogue when there are starving people around the establishment? The same goes for the government. In quebec, our governmanet spends more money on Language Laws then hospitals. It's capitilism and how our worlds works. Is it not as divine to simply pray and study in an average building then one so elaborate? This is our world, unfortunately. These surveys are for opinion, not judging. Guns are controled (more then most places), there's so much space for everyone, even though winters a bi***, we get all 4 seasons, (Apart from Quebec's sepaartists) Canadiens are generaly wonderful people.:):):) | What do you like most about the country you are in now? |
