No, it means you're like the 2nd most feminine person on SC, me coming in 3rd. I guess there's a little bit of man in all of us (or a lot, if you're a SC user). | southernyankee

I think I'd rather take my chances with the "crazies" than not ever do anything with my life. If they get me, then they get me. | southernyankee

But then when you least expect it, a loud one will get you. |

Dude, chill out. I was just making a joke.
But seriously though, I am kinda of on the fence on this. I can see it from both sides. Just so that you know, I am very pro-freedom of speech. In fact, to the point I think that nutcase Dobson guy should have the right to protest military funerals and the Klan should have the right to march spewing their drivel (so long it doesn't provoke a riot). And yeah, I can understand why some people want to restrict Dobson's and the Klan's 1st amendment rights. I don't agree with them, but I understand it.
To me, a bunch of union guys and rich business people can spew their support for a certain candidate. Somehow, when they do it as individuals (eg: posting comments on message boards) its ok, but when they get together and buy air time to say it, it crosses the line. I can understand not wanting to treat individuals the same as corporations, but free speech shouldn't be one of those differences. |

"But anyway CK, to answer your question. Free speech does enable me to tell a cop to fudge off. But if I choose to do that I have to be prepared for the consequences. All you have to do is watch Cops to see the difference between using 'free speech' to say whatever you want to a cop, and saying, "Yes sir, no sir." etc. * grin *"
Yes, and those consequences are that you'll get to sue the city for $20,000 + your hospital bills. And the cop gets to enjoy his 3-day (unpaid) vacation. |

Frosty, you've spent roughly 100 hours composing your political posts over the last 4 years or so. Your time valued at the current minimum wage rate comes out to $575.00.
Sorry, you've went over your $500.00 contribution limit. |
