.......Im sure you checked but, if you google your make and model I am sure it is HDCP compliant (Unless its one of the early ones) in which case you will have no issues whatsoever

I have been doing some research, the HDCP is pretty much a non-issue for "most" people as blu-ray players and Flat screens, cable boxes have the compliance already so you wouldn't even notice.
But HERE I have an oldish monitor and have just installed the Blu-Ray Drive, it also becomes an issue for people who were early adopters of HDTV's and connect a Blu-ray player and wonder why they are getting a blank screen?

What you guys are referring to is slightly different as your talking about encryption etc, The ripper/convertor I use will defeat most if not at all current encryption and you can do a lossless rip if you wish to MKV, I can rip to all of the following formats H.264/MPEG-4, DivX, XviD, MKV, MP4, AVI, MPEG, WMV, FLV, SWF, F4V, MOV, 3GP, 3G2, VOB, TS, DV, MPEG-2 HD Video (*.mpg), MPEG- TS Video(*.ts), Quick Time HD Video (*.mov), WMV HD Video (*.wmv), Audio-Video Interleaved HD Video (*.avi). They just had an update in Apr 11, I am guessing that was to crack the last encyption

I do it because I sometimes ONLY want parts of a movie and want the BEST quality, right now (I know I know a guy thing) I am working on a "Best movie Fight scenes" DVD * smile * ...

.......If you install/ installed a Bluray read/write drive into your computer, chances are it would not be able to play? even if you have all the correct software etc?

This is because all your hardware needs to be "HDCP compliant" http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hdcp basically a system setup by Intel corp to prevent copying of digital audio and video content as it travels across connections. These connections include popular ones like DisplayPort (DP), Digital Visual Interface (DVI), and High-Definition Multimedia Interface (HDMI).

Most newer model HDTV's have this already, so this issue doesnt even come up for most people and few people install BluRay drives ...but for people like me, I have to buy a new monitor to be able to play movies- I can use a different software player and/or rip to a different format I guess......

Yea, I did and saw what she is going through....... its just the whole Dumb blonde joke thing, I have travelled in little 8-10 seat propeller planes often, and the thing is with the stink of aviation fuel, the wind buffeting you + the noise of that propeller spinning it creates quite a visual as well as auditory "NO GO" area.

Like John Nance said, its extremely rare for this to happen..even if you make the error of stepping the wrong way, the wind, smell, noise usually gives you a sharp reminder.

..........Hi all,
so I had put computer bits into everyones Amazon wish list and have just had the guys build it for me * smile *

8GB RAM, Quad core AMD phenom processor, new motherboard with HDMI and 4 USB 3.00 connections, Pioneer BluRay Drive, Thermaltake 500w power supply ... TBH, my old one was plenty quick for most things except that I rip, burn, make, edit alot of DVD's (and now Blu-rays) and it took about 45mins to render a 60min DVD + I could not nothing with the computer while it did this............so now should be faster and I should be able to surf etc when this is being done.........

EDIT + I am just getting used to the nuances of Win7 64bit ........I loved my WIN XP SP3

Hi Bill,

Just quickly, and its a tiny point but, when qualifying a bunch of surveys is it possible that when you have chosen reasonable/nitpick etc and then click "submit" that it automatically jumps to the next available survey for qualifying?

I seemed to remember it did this before? Like i say its not the end of the world as , I can just click manually to the next survey...............

Regards David

Let us look at this from a jamaican grammar point of view (spelt phonetically), * smile *

"mi feeget mi money"

"Den yuh going haf fi get a boroughs:

so even in jamaican the word "then" (den) seems appropriate

You all making me feel old................

I remember getting a color TV when i was about 13?...so 32 yrs ago back then alot of people rented TV's in the UK, it was a good deal as it was pittance money and if it broke down they would send a repairman around for free , with the technology improvement and throwing away of stuff, that business died in the UK.

I remember my friend at about the same time had a VCR, big clunky thing cost a fortune i was totally amazed!!! and he had a microwave too!!!!! .......and video renting!!! and that was back when you had to give them like 25 pound deposit to rent movies*sigh*

Thats different?............ why would you allow a male you barely know to crash with you? that just invites trouble? especially as you haven't slept with him?
(I am guessing if you had sex with him, he wouldn't be sleeping on the couch)

Though a consideration, his age should not be the overriding factor, sorry....... do you enjoy his company?, are you on equal terms maturity wise?, Are you both "equal" meaning is he a mentor/teacher someone in authority and is that how you met him? would you be comfortable going out and being seen in public places or would u be uncomfortable? would you gladly let him meet your peers/friends I ask the last two as often in situations like this its just a sex thing and you only go to his house type thing.

at the end of the day your old enough to decide
