How long are they there?

Irene if its any consolation........I am willing to have a conference call with the Dad and daughter, I can call dont cost me anything with VOIP, at least I can impart some local knowledge, background where and how they met, what area he lives etc etc.......... the OTHER thing that no one has mentioned and this is a genuine danger is she could be setup to be a drug starts out very subtly and becomes insidious..............

"My friends aunt lives in Canada and my mum wants to send her a genuine Jamaican cake for her birthday, could you take it up for me and mail it to her?"

The Tobacco Store, ...........its a shame I am away next week in Orlando at a trade show at the end of the day if she is in "love" there is little you can do but cut her off financially so she is not able to travel *shrugs*

It could all be genuine, who knows and she is a beautiful girl?.... if its any consolation I know it is a pretty lengthy process to file, but how they gonna support each other?

Hi guys been away awhile,

Let me weigh in here, For every love story (girl meets Jamaican etc etc) there is 10 horror stories my cousin met a Jamaican guy (she is from the UK- Black if that makes a difference?) and married him and bought him to the UK, he was younger awful ....we think she lost her head for a few months-anyway end of story after NOT finding a job, physical abuse, restraining order, eviction and immigration sending him back to Jamaica she is now happily divorced!

In terms of women's size culturally, Jamaican men for the most part LOVE "big" women especially big ass women, working at the airport i cannot tell you the many Big women who come from USA, Canada,UK find they are loved/admired and return, most times it is 40yrs+ in age women and to be blunt they are shall we say not asthetically pleasing? (as opposed to the beautiful girl in this thread you posted Irene) and they usually hook up with 20yr old boys, the UK newspapers did an article on the whole Jamaican Gigolo scene, I see it often as they say goodbye to the tear stained women at departures knowing there is more to come.

sometimes its mutual and the women sends money etc, but I am very cynical where it comes to "love" in this scenario and would advise this girl to tread really fudging carefully........................

I understand what your saying, but of course the songs she sung lent themselves to THAT kind of singing and her ability to do so, which I feel stood her apart from most other singers, just set the bar that high.

I know you dislike them smiley:::smile but her, Celine, Christine aguilera et al, I respected because they COULD sing like that AND live too...this age of auto-tune, assisted back-up singers etc is many times have I heard a great song sung well and then you hear/see the artist live and.........the song sounds completely different or they take the safe route?

Her singing "One moment in time" live at the grammys still give me goose one point she pulls the mike away in error from her mouth whilst hitting a note and the sound dies (obviously) before she quickly recovers.

The younger you are the greater the issue is regards age difference, e,g a 6yr age gap when one of is 40 is a non-issue................ if your happy *shrugs*, as much as I do not want to sound materialistic money/income is a real consideration, as blunt as it sounds (I am a diehard romantic BTW), you cannot take love to the bank.

.......Im sure you checked but, if you google your make and model I am sure it is HDCP compliant (Unless its one of the early ones) in which case you will have no issues whatsoever
posted January 20, 2012 at 9:08am (EST)
I have been doing some research, the HDCP is pretty much a non-issue for "most" people as blu-ray players and Flat screens, cable boxes have the compliance already so you wouldn't even notice.
But HERE I have an oldish monitor and have just installed the Blu-Ray Drive, it also becomes an issue for people who were early adopters of HDTV's and connect a Blu-ray player and wonder why they are getting a blank screen?

What you guys are referring to is slightly different as your talking about encryption etc, The ripper/convertor I use will defeat most if not at all current encryption and you can do a lossless rip if you wish to MKV, I can rip to all of the following formats H.264/MPEG-4, DivX, XviD, MKV, MP4, AVI, MPEG, WMV, FLV, SWF, F4V, MOV, 3GP, 3G2, VOB, TS, DV, MPEG-2 HD Video (*.mpg), MPEG- TS Video(*.ts), Quick Time HD Video (*.mov), WMV HD Video (*.wmv), Audio-Video Interleaved HD Video (*.avi). They just had an update in Apr 11, I am guessing that was to crack the last encyption

I do it because I sometimes ONLY want parts of a movie and want the BEST quality, right now (I know I know a guy thing) I am working on a "Best movie Fight scenes" DVD smiley:::smile...

.......If you install/ installed a Bluray read/write drive into your computer, chances are it would not be able to play? even if you have all the correct software etc?

This is because all your hardware needs to be "HDCP compliant" basically a system setup by Intel corp to prevent copying of digital audio and video content as it travels across connections. These connections include popular ones like DisplayPort (DP), Digital Visual Interface (DVI), and High-Definition Multimedia Interface (HDMI).

Most newer model HDTV's have this already, so this issue doesnt even come up for most people and few people install BluRay drives ...but for people like me, I have to buy a new monitor to be able to play movies- I can use a different software player and/or rip to a different format I guess......

Yea, I did and saw what she is going through....... its just the whole Dumb blonde joke thing, I have travelled in little 8-10 seat propeller planes often, and the thing is with the stink of aviation fuel, the wind buffeting you + the noise of that propeller spinning it creates quite a visual as well as auditory "NO GO" area.

Like John Nance said, its extremely rare for this to happen..even if you make the error of stepping the wrong way, the wind, smell, noise usually gives you a sharp reminder.
