That's exactly what I said to my SO when we were watching the documentary about China! It's a shame they weren't able to learn from our mistakes and make better choices, but I guess greed gets the better of people and they just don't care. Although there is some hope. They showed a group of people in one region going around educating the public and the farmers about pollution and how important it is to keep the river clean. They're doing better there, but I don't think they had any factories upriver. | SueBee

Ugh, this is horrible. I recently saw a documentary about China and the same thing is happening there, although it wasn't as blatent as this. |

You're joalis?!! I didn't know that! Sheesh!! Nobody ever tells me anything. | SueBee

It's always good to see you, too! The walk isn't until September, which is a good thing since I need to get training for it. I do lots of walking at work -- about 10 miles/day -- but it's all on flat ground, so I need to train on some hills, and do more cross-training, too, to prepare for 60 miles in three days. | SueBee

Tilly! Of course! I remember now. Doesn't Tilly have a limp? | SueBee

It's not like I know her all that well, so I don't know how much I could verify, but if it'd help you to give her another chance I'd be happy to answer any questions you have to the best of my ability, without infringing on her privacy. | SueBee

Well, I didn't ask for ID, but I've sent snail mail addressed to her as Kate (and last name) and it didn't come back to me as undeliverable. I feel quite sure that is her real name. Mandy and I met her at a mall, had lunch there, and then drove her home and were invited inside, where we met her son and her cat (or were there two cats? It's been a couple years... I don't remember for sure, though I seem to recall one cat had a gimpy leg.) I'm not sure what handicaps you're talking about... I know her eyesight is poor.
My feeling is that Kate has no "evil" intentions. If she had multiple user names I'm sure it was for her own amusement and apparently to have a little more control in qualification -- a little power can go to anyone's head. I doubt that she intented to hurt anyone, and probably didn't realize it might hurt people's feelings if they found out they were being deceived. I'm not condoning her actions, just telling my gut feeling about the whole thing.
I am the forgiving type. Richard47 said some rather hurtful things and tried to stir things up when mandy and I were going through our breakup, but I would have no problem with him coming back. I rather enjoyed him for the most part. And if I didn't, well, I believe there's still a filter for those who annoy us... | SueBee

I wasn't around when wolf was causing trouble here, but for what it's worth I have met her in person, and I'd say she's pretty harmless.
I like "Forgiveness Central"... it's so Buddhist! |

Like romkey already mentioned, I think the most important thing for stir fry is to use cold leftover rice. I've tried using freshly cooked rice in stir fry and it just turns to mush. Still tasty, but the consistency is horrible. |
