I just got home from the protest, it went really well!

My favorite sign was "Somewhere in Texas, a village is missing it's idiot".

Nice to see I'm remembered! * smile * I was finishing up high school, and I got a job and I was never online, so I eventually stopped coming. But I'm online more now, so I thought I'd come back. I started university this year and stuff, so that's what is new...how are you all???

I don't think it was strong enough to uproot houses, only garages. I thought that our garage may fall over, and we were almost certain out chimney fell off, but neither happened. Many people had trees fall on their homes, but we were extremely lucky. All the trees on my street fell into open space. The damage done to my house was done by large branches. I'm just grateful it wasn't worse. * smile *

A hurricane named Juan hit halifax (the place I live) last Monday. Apparently it was the worst storm to hit the city in more than 100 years. On my tiny street there were 5 trees uprooted, 6 power poles broken/blown away, and tons of other damage. My backyard seriously looked like a forest. And several of our parks are desroyed. The most famous one lost about 80% of the trees. I finally got power back on Friday, phone on Saturday and cable on tuesday. And this was only a class 2 hurricane! I can't imagine how scary it must be in places where you have hurricanmes all the time. I've never been more scared than the night this storm was occuring. Halifax usually only gets tropical storms, so we were totally unprepared. Thank goodness, everyone I know is okay.
Just thought I'd share! * smile *

How about nobody gets banned, and we all happily co-exist as one big SC family? If someone wants to block another SC user, that's their choice. If another person doesn't, that's also their choice. * smile *
