No no! It was a car modifyed for the race. I have spikes on my tires too but these are much longer, the car was stripped down to just the pedals, the steering wheel and this God awfully tight seat that protects you if you crash and bars were welded to the side. Trust me, it wasn't easy getting in and out of that thing... Not one of my most graceful moments.
I vaguely remember writing that in the dark of a swanky restaurant up North that was rocking! (After mealtime, the lounge music sorta changed to Lady Gaga's kind). I was with Pat and an old customer come friend of mine. I mentioned him before, I kinda had my eye on him after Ben passed but everytime he invited me out to dinner; he was accompanied by one of his bimbos... And now that he's met Pat, he keeps inviting us to his house up North, out to dinner, to parties, on his boat etc... and he's most often unaccompanied. I don't get it - maybe I scared him and now he feels safe that Pat's around!!
Anyway, the fun didn't end there! When we left the country up North, we headed to the country down South to see some cars racing on ice (Pat was to participate in one race) and, guess what? THEY THREW ME INTO THE WOMEN'S RACE AND I DIDN'T KNOW WHAT THE EFF I WAS DOING - I DIDN'T EVEN KNOW WHAT THE HELL THE YELLOW FLAG WAS FOR!!! But... I came in third! That was wild - I have to post some pictures... Can you see it? High heels, fur coat and a racing helmet... *snicker* No wonder my family and friends think I'm strange. Bah! You live only once and I'm having a great time!!
