I was checking back regularly at the survey and I am really very very annoyed that you deleted the survey.
How could you tell I "couldn't check back" ASB - let alone that I wasn't committed to the survey - you make it sound like a religion!?
The survey was only waiting for one or perhaps two people to mark it "good" and no-one had replied to my comments to the suggestions so I wasn't going to update it.
Bill, I am very disappointed at this. Is there another way of looking at this? | Guthrie

Bill,
I picked up a survey about DVDs in qualification. It was originally a YES/NO questions but I thought I would try and make it intersting by inviting people to consider a number of statements about DVDs as well.
It was doing OK in qualification - it got to about 5+/2- as I recall with one or two people marking it "bad" which left it on about 44%.
That was Friday afternoon GMT - tonight, Monday 01:30 GMT I can't find it - can you tell me what happened? |

With people like this you can see how GWBush gets elected. |

Or perhaps they just disagree with you. Maybe they don't think that "reasonable" is the same as "perfect".

You can rate the quality of a survey with the Ratings system. Spurious NW are a real pain. There were 49 surveys stuck in qualification last time I looked and the number of surveys is still diminishing.
I think the new system is far more relaxed. Obvious errors will still be picked up but the nitpicks can be dealt with sensibly. Complaints that "multi-select" surveys should be "single-select" shouldn't get everyone so wound up.
Let's give this a try and get back to the sparky discussions that used to be the joy of Survey Central. There's nothing worse than a closed question with "yes", "no", and ten versions of "other"! |

I see from the stats that the number of surveys has been declining since July which is a shame.
Do people think that there have been occasions where the qualification system has prevented good surveys being released? Could this be having an impact on things?
What should we do.
While we're all talking mad electoral systems, should we continue with a vote where a single for the status quo (reject survey) wins while at at least five votes are required to actually allow a survey to pass?

Thanks Bill - I haven't checked my options in a very long time and didn't know that there was a filter flag on the customize page or that it had been set to filter on my behalf.
Thanks! | Guthrie

No, Bill, I was asking to see other people's. I have set the offensive flag to see all surveys - I would also like to see all comments.
I am used to seeing "swears" in national newspapers. To me the bleeping you provide might seem to protect the eyes of the faint-hearted but it isn't much more than an easy game of hangman.
All I am asking is that you use the temperance option when surveys are displayed to those who don't see offensive surveys. |

ASB: Why don't you take a rest from qualification for a bit - you seem a little fractious at the moment as this incident shows. |

Could it be possible that people who set the offensive flag in order to see such surveys could have all expletives shown when people comment with them? I dislike censorship and the idea that my comments will be amended according to someone's preffered phrases is not something I like. |

Could you add a further one-line statistic to the stats page? I would like to see what proportion of posted surveys get through qualification. It could be for the week or month or cumulative - don't mind. |
