OK, so you don't mind if the Chamber of Commerce picks the next President as opposed to the voters. Fine. I on the other hand, am an American and as such am inclined to look down on that sort of thing.
Congrats Right Wingers. Thanks to you, Halliburton and Wal-Mart, not the PEOPLE, the VOTERS, will, if not in 2012, than in 2016 will be choosing the President of the United States.
If I didn't have a chest cold right now, I'd be getting drunk off my ass.
Wow. I am humbled by how awesome people in social media are. I just checked on the site for The Boom Effect, the auction being held to help out my friend Tee Morris and his daughter (the thing I was talking about in the other thread I started this month) to look at some new items that I thought I myself would like to bid on (the professional editor reviewing the first 3 chapters of the winner's manuscript was of particular interest ), and I saw that a proxy bid (i.e. someone who wasn't sure she/he would make the actual auction on the 27th of February) was placed for $25. That's more than twice what my highest expectation was for what I'd pull in for Sonic Boom's trust fund. Even if that's the only bid, that it still money that's going to a good cause, and on the off chance that it was someone from here who placed that bid, I just wanna say thank you. I don't know, or even want to know, who you are (well, unless you win then I kinda have to if I'm gonna ship it. ), just, thank you.

No, you're not blocked. To be honest, I recognize your username, so I knew you were here a while back and left for whatever reason, and are obviously back now. But beyond that, I'm drawing a blank. Should I have you blocked?

Yeah, I'm aware of that. I knew what I was doing getting into this. This is why I worked with a professional editor and an artist for the cover. I have no graphic design skills whatsoever. I also knew that my self-promotion could only go so far as a C-list podcaster, most of whose listeners are also podcasters (Geek of all Trades. The Velvet Underground of podcasts ). But still, I've sold 14 "units" (print and download copies combined). Again, for a C-list podcaster, who frankly didn't promote himself at the level of say a J.C. Hutchins, that's not bad. I'm proud of it, and I'm still planning on podcasting it soon (just need to work out the deets with my reader, because as a guy I don't feel comfortable reading a story whose main character is female). So the people on this site can mock me all they want. This project was a labor of love, and I will not apologize for it, and I will continue to support it.

Scott Sigler, Mur Lafferty, and J.C. Hutchins didn't get their publishing deals by being quiet. I'm just out there building my fanbase for future projects, like my zombie/police novel that I'm working on.
